Mary Kay Ingredients 2012

Many thanks to reader M. M.  who sent me the ingredients list for Mary Kay eye shadow and Botanical Effects products.  I didn't need to run the ingredients through the Cosmetics Safety Database,  I was able to identify enough ingredients on sight to verify that Mary Kay continues to pinkwash with their product lines.

If you have the ingredients for other products, please drop me a line so we can educate our sisters.  parabenfreeprincess@gmail.com

This is not a brand I am familiar with as I live in UK, but I am pleased you have raised awareness to this brand. It annoys me that products are promoted as "natural, botanical" but leave behind a whole array of nasty ingredients.

That's great that you looked into that. I found a company called Ava Anderson Non Toxic and was told that they are completely non toxic. I thought Beauti Control was but found some disturbing ingredients in there as well. What other non toxic brands do you suggest?

Sugarpuffish : Do you use Neal's Yard Remedies over there in the UK? There are 38 shops with Therapy Rooms throughout the UK. They are a cherished organic apothecary brand, founded in 1981, in the old flower market in Covent Garden, Neal's Yard. They just celebrated their 30-year Anniversary. I found them in 2007 in London. And, when I returned to London, for 6 months, I shopped at the Clapham Juction and Kings Rd. shops. They've just started a direct sales Channel in America, and now I am a sales rep. All of their beauty care is handmade and gorgeous! They are owned by a family, who also owns the largest organic farm in England. I love this brand! Meets all the very stringent requirements I have for myself...I love this blog..btw. Thank you.
